Trump’s Coup failed because it came from his Gut
What Is
Trump goes by his gut.
He has an overall plan to win, make money and get even.
All his actions are funneled into his crap-roll loose improvisation execution. As a result, he delegates his authority to those he considers have blind loyalty to him a desired “Mini-Me” clone recipient to channel commands. He changes plans at the last second, his free-floating lies resemble “walking across a gyrating floor smeared with Vaseline” [1]. He knows — instinctively how to walk boldly to the edge of his own rhetoric and manipulate / bamboozle his base and frighten other Republicans into submission.
In short, his loosely held associations of wild thinking were disorganized and a wickedly clever attempt to stop the electoral vote through a mob filled with murderous intent. The size and gut-improv execution was not thought through by the Trump and it failed because of the lack of an incisive plan. Clearly this is a heinous crime at the very least punishable by impeachment.
If it he is not impeached it lays the groundwork for another fascist with a real plan to succeed. Republicans that follow Trump have turned their backs on their principles, the Constitution and the American People whether it be through messianic worship of The Trump on-high or fear of being crushed by his plan of getting even.
By not convicting Trump and his Republican enablers we set this up to happen again.
The Fight Ahead
As a Progressive currently allied with a centrist — Biden; we must fight on all fronts for a participatory democracy including: Universal Health Care, a campaign on the Climate Crisis, A health economy based on a living wage and employment as well as a UBI (Universal Basic Income) and more.
The following is adapted from Winston Churchill’s famous speech during the rise of the Nazis of WWII (with apologies to his Spirit and the British). Bold and Italics belong are mine.
“Sir, I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once more able to restore and defend our American Democracy, to ride out the storm of the battle for all the voices of the people to be heard and heeded, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.
Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail (many other nations are under dictatorial rule in the world).

We shall fight by ensuring that every person has the right to vote, we shall fight to get big money out of politics, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing with a free press, we shall defend our failing democracy and make it whole again, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on with our words and deeds peacefully and with fierce strength, we shall fight those Republicans that have turned their back on their own principles and have become at least the enablers of terrorism, we shall fight in the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the courts, we shall fight across the land to end racism and systemic racism; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this nation or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then freedom loving peoples would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.” [2]
