War, the US dollar, and the World Bank have been dominating the world since the end of WWII. When a country goes to war and the the US becomes involved they have been forced to take loans from the World Bank. As a result they are indebted to the dictates of the World Bank and the US dollar.

As a pacifist I was not surprised that the US has been at war almost continually since 1776. There's a Wikipedia page on it.
