We could do it - but there are 2 or 3 major factors preventing us from saving humans on Earth:

1. the amount of damage is growing exponentially and will continue. This is dire and beyond repair based on all that we want to do (and have yet to even start). To make the changes will take generations.

2. Systemically we have been trained to believe that science and tech and government can do it and we need change only a little. The system of capitalism as it is today looks to an immediate quarterly system of reward, treats Earth's resources as discardable things and is maximized for divisiveness and profit at the expense of every body and every resource.

3. We not prepared to sacrifice our lifestyle and live with far less in order to save ourselves. (This and #2 are the biggest stumbling blocks to reversing the Dire Crisis).

Therefore billions will suffer and die. A little over a million may survive but there will be no electricity and life will be 10,000 x more difficult than it is today. I have hope that these people will survive.

I have dedicated my life to relieving suffering and I have more than enough work ahead. So be it.
