What follows is mostly unscientific, pulls in history (though not recorded, forgotten history) and is related to the Yugas. Under new evidence - new calculations that the Yugas are 24 to 26,000 years long.
The Satya Yuga was the high point of human civilization and was correlated in the orbit of our solar system around the light at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy where there was the most light on planet Earth.
According to the new calculations the Ascending Kali Yuga will end in 2025 CE followed by a 300 yer cusp period when the Ascending Dwapara Yuga begins. Approximately 19,000 years ago the decline from the light began.
