When I was a wee one I loved the trail through the woods- what was beyond the bend. This was (is) my wild raucous curiosity and zest to know. This translated into learning everything.

My HS sophomore English Literature teacher wrote on the blackboard "Learning for the sake of learning." I knew I had found a comrade in arms. Mr. John White became my mentor in 1966.
