Thanks for that. It explains a lot about aspects of my life.
When I was a teen I spent about 40% of my waking life daydreaming. When I was in my 30s I had one daydream that occurred during bath times or extensive times in the bathroom for about a year. I got so sick of the daydream I wrote a science-fiction novel of it (unpublished so far). I no longer daydream about that anymore.
Much of my small MD daydreaming arose out of dealing with an emotional abusive family and extended family that were sexually abusing me.
Now I use daydreaming to write stories and novels. One is published, a second will be published (a memoir) in November.
