You are right about this child as a natural healer. Listening is underrated in our culture today.
When I was working as a counselor in a mental health half-way house a client was mandated by law to talk with me. (He committed a crime during a psychotic break and chose a program for early release from a state hospital with strict conditions. )
He didn't like me because he made assumptions about my weight (negative transference).
He talked and I listened from my heart. I intently set myself up as a conduit for his conflicted and negative emotions and channeled them into earth. I didn't say a word because I felt called by Spirit to remain quiet. As I listened to him share his feelings his body relaxed and became less blocked. When I finished he made eye-contact with me. An understanding seemed to pass between us. He got up walked towards the door.
He turned and said a heart-felt "Thank-you".
I said "You're welcome." After that his anger and resentment towards seemed to fade a bit.
